Soap Club: Love Soap

In this recipe, our #StephensonSoapClub winner Mandy walks us through her winning Crystal Melt & Pour recipe ‘Love Soap’. Follow along using simple ingredients and your favourite Stephenson Soap Base.

Maker: Mandy, United Kingdom

Soap Bases used: Crystal ST, Crystal Goat’s Milk

**Project Description:**A beautiful layered soap loaf with love heart embeds.

Maker IntroductionHaving a new batch of fragrance oils I wanted to create something that equally showcased the beautiful smell, using Goats milk and clear M&P allowed me to get soft and vibrant colours; candyfloss in the goats milk and dragon fruit in the clear, fragrance oil added Dragon fruit, Guava and Papaya the soap base holds the colours and the fragrance beautifully.

Step One

Using Stephenson Melt & Pour Crystal ST I added dragon fruit colour and fragrance oil and moulded long heart and small hearts, these were to go through the soap and on top. I then melted Crystal Goat’s Milk and added candy floss colour and clear with Dragon fruit colour, fragrance added.

Step Two

I placed the long heart in my loaf mould and layered the Crystal Goat’s Milk and clear into the mould, using alcohol spray to get rid of some of the bubbles but I did want to keep some for effect. At the top I melted more Crystal Goat’s Milk with a touch of candy floss colour and whisked it slightly to get a fluffy top and tilted my mould before pouring.

Step Three

I pushed the hearts that I made earlier into the top and left to cool before cutting.
