We’ve developed a wide selection of COSMOS Certified bases to meet the growing demand for sustainable, ethically sourced products with clear on-pack credentials.
What does COSMOS Certified mean?
To achieve certification, products must meet strict requirements on sourcing, processing, and formulation. Every claim is independently verified — so there’s no greenwashing, only genuine and trusted credentials.
At least 95% of all oils, butters, and agro-ingredients must be organic.
At least 20% of the total finished formula must be organic (10% for rinse-off products like shampoos or cleansers).
This allows finished products to be labelled “Made with Organic.”
COSMOS Certified (non-organic) options
Within our range, three bases — Syndopal Natural C-MB, Syndopal PF, and Opal CO-NC — are COSMOS Certified (non-organic).
What does this mean? These ingredients are still certified under COSMOS standards but are not organic. This makes them suitable for use in finished products applying for COSMOS Natural certification.
So whether your brand is developing COSMOS Organic or COSMOS Natural finished products, our certified bases provide the flexibility and credentials to support your goals.
