About The Role

You will be a driver of improvement and executing projects to deliver both process and financial improvement in line with business objectives, whilst developing long-term relationships with other employees and stakeholders

Role Responsibilities

You will be working on both product development as well as improving, developing, and designing processes in the business in line with strategic goals. You will spend time on the shop floor to understand the products and plant as well as presenting to all levels of the business on projects. Some of the details include:

» Support the development of new products by taking the chemist’s lab formulations and seeing these through to industrial level.

» To liaise with the customer on performance, projects and technical activities associated with automated machinery

» Responsible for reviewing and improving production methods to maximise efficiency, quality, and yield.

» Using scientific, mathematical, and engineering principles to solve problems and improve processes.

» To ensure that permanent and effective corrective action is taken as a result of any quality, safety or production concern

The role is within the Process Team, and the successful candidate will relish the diversity of collaborating with multiple internal teams. You are a motivated Process / Chemical Engineer with an inquiring mind to join our team and take on responsibility for our process improvements

You will have great project management skills and understand the different engagement styles needed between presenting to the Leadership Team or working with our engineering teams… so it goes without saying that great communication skills are a must, and with an analytical mind, you’ll be able to digest data and reach conclusions!

Skills & Competencies

You will have a BS degree in Chemical Engineering and will also have process engineering and manufacturing development experience. You will have a flair for projects with the ability to work well within a project framework. You will have the ability to generate and present concise and accurate technical information to various stakeholders… so exceptional problem solving, verbal and written communication, presentation, and project management skills are essential! You will have the ability to identify and drive continuous improvement opportunities and be an analytical thinker with people skills!

An understanding and familiarity with health and safety regulations is a plus. We value Lean Sixth Sigma, so if you are a Green Belt that would be beneficial! But the most important part is culture fit. We are looking for someone with passion and drive, a self-starter that is excited by the prospect of joining a growing business with big ambitions!
