Stephenson and Brexit: What we know

Delivery and VAT

From 1st January 2021, goods leaving the UK and entering the EU will be classed as Export/Import. Stephenson will be preparing Export Declarations for all DAP customers. We will require your EORI Number to enable us to do this.

Duties

In either situation (Deal or No Deal), nearly all of Stephenson’s products will not incur any import duties when being sold from the UK in to the EU.

Border Delays

The UK Government’s worst-case model shows a delay of up to 2 days at the UK/EU border. By collecting your EORI number and preparing the needed paperwork before dispatch, Stephenson’s deliveries should pass through the border with few delays.

REACH (EC No. 1907/2006)

Stephenson’s products will continue to comply with EU REACH. All of the raw materials we use and produce will remain complaint; either being Registered or Exempt.

Cosmetics Directive (EC No. 1223/2009)

Stephenson will continue to supply all supporting paperwork required for registration of our Customers’ finished products with the CPNP.

What should you do next?

If you are in the EU, let us have your EORI number or talk to us if you don’t have one. If you are an EXW customer but would like us to manage your transport in the future, please let us know so we can start to plan.

If you would like to discuss any aspect of the above, please feel free to contact us here.
